Before your first night
A first club visit should be predictable. You will not be dropped into an event without knowing the format.
Give yourself time to find the room and meet the session host before pairings begin.
A rough description is enough. We use it to choose a suitable first opponent and time control.
If time allows, review the game after it finishes. That conversation is often the most useful part of the visit.

Finding the right session
If you want relaxed games, competitive preparation, structured training or an introduction to club chess, mention that in your message. We can direct you to a night that makes sense.
For event-specific enquiries, include the event name and your approximate playing experience. For membership questions, tell us whether you have visited before and what you want from regular club play.
